WE WILL NOT BE MOVED!
I once preached a sermon entitled “Keep Doing Good” which was based on a scripture taken from Galatians 6:9 in which Paul exhorts us not to grow weary in so doing. The premise was that if we are exhorted to exhibit positive Godly like behavior it is because the circumstances of our lives can, if fact, take us down a path in which we feel weakened and begin to lose the hope we have been given by God through our Lord Jesus Christ. The scripture gives us the hope of strength through God’s power available to us on a daily basis. When we focus on the media that we are bombarded with constantly, the outlook may seem bleak at best. The news we have been hearing lately may even have us question if there is hope for America. Well, the answer to the question is, of course! We are admonished to pray for those who are in authority, kings, government leaders, presidents, etc. (1Tim. 2:2). We are also informed that the results of our prayers will be peace, quietness and Godliness. This scripture is powerful enough for us to know that we do not have to be moved in our faith. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and wants to work on behalf of His people that call on His name for intervention. All we have to do is talk to the people on the streets and we will learn that the policies set in motion from our government have done nothing to change the lives of people who need the LORD. Nothing can free us from the bondage of sin except the blood of JESUS! This is why the answer is only found in Him and you and I know and have the answer. We will not be moved!
¡NO SEREMOS MOVIDOS!
En una ocasión prediqué un mensaje titulado –Siga Haciendo el Bien- el cual estaba basado en la escritura de Gálatas 6:9 donde el Apóstol Pablo nos exhorta a no cansarnos en hacer el bien. La premisa era que si somos llamados a exhibir una conducta positiva y piadosa es porque las circunstancias que nos rodean nos pueden llevar a un punto donde nos sentimos fatigados y comenzamos a perder la esperanza que nos ha dado Dios por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. La escritura nos da una esperanza de fuerzas por medio del poder de Dios que está a nuestro alcance diariamente. Cuando nos enfocamos solamente en lo que los medios nos presentan, de los cuales somos bombardeados constantemente, el futuro no parece muy alentador. Las noticias de las que hemos oído recientemente tal vez nos tienen preguntando si habrá esperanza para América. La respuesta a la pregunta es, ¡claro que sí! En 1Timoteo 2:2 se nos exhorta orar por los que están en eminencia, por reyes, líderes gubernamentales, presidentes, etc. se nos informa también que los resultados de nuestras oraciones serán de quietud, reposo, piedad y honestidad. Esta porción de las escrituras es lo suficientemente poderosa para dejarnos saber que no tenemos que ser movidos en nuestra fe. Dios es el mismo ayer, hoy y por los siglos y desea obrar en su pueblo que invoca su nombre para la intervención debida. Con tan solo hablar con las personas en las calles nos damos cuenta de que las pólizas del gobierno no han tenido ningún efecto en cambiar las vidas de las personas que necesitan al Señor. ¡Nada nos puede liberar de la esclavitud del pecado excepto la sangre de Jesús! Es por esta razón que la respuesta de la condición del hombre solamente se haya en El y usted y yo tenemos esa respuesta. ¡No seremos movidos!
